Student of the Month Program
Another important program is the
locally popular and successful Student
of the Month Program. The Chamber of Commerce Student of the Month
programs have been honoring students since 1993. We
are delighted to be sponsored by such caring and generous
businesses.
The Student of the Month programs
were born of Sally Myers' passion for education. Sally
is partner and
Marketing Director of BMW Management, Inc., which is
an independent franchise of Sizzler Restaurants.
Sally recognized the need for a venue honoring the
outstanding students in Lake Elsinore, Murrieta,
Perris/Menifee, and Temecula and has devoted many hours
of her time to that end.
The four programs currently
honor 300 students a year from the 15 high schools
in Lake
Elsinore,
Murrieta, Perris/Menifee, and Temecula. Two students,
a boy and a girl, are recognized at the breakfast
or luncheon each month. The program has over 240 local
business and organization sponsors, plus it is
supported by local, state, and federal elected officials.
